Here you can see some of the images, animations, and process of the course we put together alongside Domestika: Bring your animation project to life with nature as your inspiration, and animate your illustrations with After Effects. In this online course, guided by Andrés Rossi, a Designer/Director/Founder of Wildthings, specializing in animation and motion graphics, you will discover how to breathe life into your illustrations through animation. With his studio, Wildthings, nestled in the Argentinean mountains, Andrés has worked with renowned brands like Facebook, Nickelodeon, MTV, and Disney, merging his passion for nature with his creative projects.

Throughout this course, you will learn to observe your surroundings and use them as a source of inspiration to create impactful animations. Using Photoshop and After Effects tools, Andrés will guide you through the process of creating an animated scene in a natural setting.

The course is divided into several stages. You will start by exploring your immediate environment, capturing sketches and ideas. Then, you will move on to creating a mood board and designing characters in Photoshop. Next, you will develop the storyboard for your scene and turn it into style frames, adding color. Afterward, you will learn the basics principles of animation and create an animatic to guide the execution of your piece. An the you will learn about the graph editor, and simple riggs in order to bring everything to life inside After Effects.
